About Vesperwatch Editorial
Who writes the tower defense reviews on Tower Defense Games, why we review competitors, and how to contact us with a correction.
We are the team behind Vesperwatch, a free low-poly 3D tower defense game that runs in the browser. We built a campaign with 50 maps, a day/night loop, tower ascensions and allied squads. We also play a lot of tower defense games, including the ones we compete with.
This page explains why we review them, what qualifies us to do it, and how to tell us we got something wrong.
Why a game studio reviews other games
Most "best tower defense games" lists are written by people who play the genre for a week and rank whatever is on sale. We wanted something more useful: a review that explains the upgrade math, the difficulty wall, the economy mistake a new player makes, and the reason a famous game may no longer be the right first purchase.
Building a tower defense game gives us a specific kind of experience. We know how much work goes into a readable wave, how quickly a pathing change breaks a map, and why "just add more towers" is usually a balance failure. That perspective is the reason this channel exists. It is not a claim that we have played every game for a hundred hours. We say what we verified and what we did not on every page.
How we are independent
- We do not accept payment for reviews, placements or scores.
- We do not run affiliate links in reviews at launch.
- We disclose our ownership of Vesperwatch on every review, before the first call to action.
- We publish our criteria and score bands on the methodology page.
- We cite sources and date every fact check.
The conflict is real: we make a browser tower defense game, and some readers will choose it over the games we review. The answer is transparency, not a pretend wall between the game and the editorial. If a review recommends a competitor over us for a particular player, that is the review doing its job.
What we will not do
We will not invent a reviewer persona, a playtime, a screenshot or a quote to make a page look more experienced than it is. We will not copy a store page and call it analysis. We will not use another studio's art. We will not tell you a game is "the best" without naming the player it is best for.
If that makes the reviews less exciting than a YouTube rant, that is a trade we accept. The goal is to help you decide where your money and evening go.
The game
Vesperwatch is free to play in the browser. You build by day, hold the night, command allied squads, and move your defense when the road changes. It runs on desktop and mobile landscape, with no install and no account.

Contact and corrections
The fastest route is GitHub issues. Include the page URL, the sentence you believe is wrong, and the source that contradicts it. We will check it against the cited source and correct the page if needed.
For a game suggestion, use the same issue tracker and include the official store page. We do not promise coverage, and we do not accept payment to add a game.
